Star Wars Toys
1978-1983
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....well 1983 Los Angeles to be precise ... a 13 year old named Anne entered the Kenner Empire Strikes Back Sweepstakes while at a science fiction convention with her parents. As avid Star Wars fans, the whole family was thrilled when she won one of the 50 second place prizes - a toy collection consisting of every one of Kenner's current Star Wars toys (and a few extras). Both of Anne's parents were scientists at the Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, so they were huge space buffs. But at the age of 13, Anne was already a little old for the toys. After playing with them for a few months they were boxed up.
